Mobile Computers
Mobile computing has changed significantly from the laptop-era. Mini-PC
systems and portable displays can now bring powerful cost-effective alternatives
to buyers, along with the durability of compact separated designs without the
cost of 'hardened' laptops and cooling solutions built on energy-efficient chips.
Remoting and secure (VPN) technology is also at a new level, providing the ideal
option to simply remote-in from thin client systems and smartphones to central
business computer solutions and server banks (stand alone clouds, privately held).
Laptops are the simplest solution, but standards are also changing. Some great deals
exist on older technology in the transition. Especially in audio and signal processing.
If you are a media or graphic designer, there are solutions for your industry that
offer dedicated CUDA and DSP soltuions built-in. These are not models you will find
